Freedom Caster (Novel) Chapter Six

Freedom Caster Chapter Six!
This book is for adults. This book is about werewolves.
This is a rough draft so expect some typo's. I'm sharing the base draft because I would like your opinion and input. Does this interest you? Are the character profiles good or do they need work? What would you like to see in this story? I'd like answers to these questions and anything you'd like to tell me. I'd also like to know if anyone is actually reading my work and am I just sending my story into cyber space for no reason.

Do NOT steal my work. This is my published work and my creative ideas that I have worked hard to develop.

Karah presses a button on her visor and a huge wrought iron gate monogrammed with the letter G opens before us. We drive down a paved winding road lined with perfectly spaced trees. The brown lawn is neatly trimmed and everything is well placed and organized.
After driving down the long driveway for a few minutes we clear the trees and a huge Victorian brick mansion stands before us. The home is at least three stories above ground. Each side of the house has a princess like tower climbing above the already big home. It’s absolutely beautiful.
She pulls up under the built in awning and right up to the front door. I gawk at the massive double doors that is monogrammed with the letter G again. I bet the front door cost more than my entire life’s savings.
“What do you think?” Karah asks.
I shake my head to snap out of my trance. “It’s beautiful.”
“Well, let’s get inside. I want to introduce my mother to you.” Karah gets out of the car and I hear the trunk pop open. I follow her lead and help her get her own items as well as mine out of the trunk. Before we reach the front door it opens and a middle aged gentleman opens the door for us. We step inside the mansion and my breath leaves my body. Grey marble flooring fans out before me. A white double stair case that looks right out of a movie leads up to the second floor and above. This place is big enough to get lost in.
“Hello Mrs. Gold. I will take those up to your room.” Karah hands the man some of her bags and places the others on a large oval wood and marble table. She motions for me to do the same with the ones I’m holding.
“Jason,” Karah smiles at the man. “This is Sashi. She will be staying with us from now on.” Jason smiles and slightly bows at me before taking a handful of bags away. I fiddle on my feet uncomfortably. I’m really not used to this treatment.
At the farm I was a lab rat, a maid, and only treated as a princess when Michael wanted something. To them I was a treasure and a freak all at the same time. They feared me and abused me. I was scared of them even with all my magic. I didn’t have anywhere else to go and no one I could count on. If I left where would I go? Where would I stay? How would I eat and stay warm? I told myself I would fall in love with Michael in time and mate with him like everyone wanted. Or at least grow to not hate him. I just needed to give myself time. I told myself all those things over and over again year after year but it never changed.
Then a few weeks ago I woke up and had enough. Something inside me changed and I don’t know why. I didn’t have any more fear. And now here I am feeling alive and wanted. I’ve never believed in fate or destiny but right now I do with every fiber of my being. Its funny how one person changed my mind so seamlessly.
“Sashi?” I turned to Karah and she comes over to me and touches my shoulder. “Are you okay?”
I smile and nod at her. She doesn’t look convinced. “Why wouldn’t I be?” She reaches up and wipes a tear from my cheek. I gasp and wipe them away. “I’m wonderful. I just can’t believe I’m here really. I mean,” I shrug, “I was living in hell basically. And how I’m standing here. I didn’t think I’d ever trust anyone again. I’m still pretty dumbfounded about that. But I’ve never felt more relaxed or comfortable. I don’t know what to do. I’ve never had this. Thank you so much, Karah.”
Karah wraps her arms around me and holds me close. Her heart is beating perfectly evenly and it comforts me. I smile and burry my face in in shoulder and wrap my arms around her. I feel Lily in me moan and whine happily. If she was a cat I think she would be purring. Purring?! Lily growls at me and I giggle. She hates when I make cat comments.
“Miss?” Jason comes up to us. “You’re mother,” he trails off and Karah pulls away from me. She looks worried.
“What’s going on Jason?” Karah interlinks her fingers together and squeezes them.
“I don’t know ma’am. But she is having an episode. I think you better come quickly,” Jason urges Karah to follow him.
“Wait here Sashi,” Karah pats my arm. “I don’t want you to see my mother when she is in the middle of a fit.” Karah rushes off between the double stair cases and turns left.
I stand there looking after her. That’s when a voice caresses my mind. “Please help us.”
Before I know what I’m doing, I am running after Karah. She is halfway down the hall and I run after her. Unable to control myself I pass her and rush through double doors. “Help!” the voice echo’s in my head. I cover my ears and moan. Lily whines and shakes her head.
“What do you think you are doing?” Jason demands of me. I ignore him and continue through the huge room. Everything is happing so fast but it also feels like slow motion at the same time.
Over there Sashi. I feel Lily motion to a door set between bookshelves. I stride towards them and put my hand on the door knob. Karah yells my name but it’s barely a whisper. All I can hear is the crying of a woman beyond the doors.
Something is going to happen when you enter that room Sashi. I nod at Lily and turn to Karah. “Get him out of here,” I say to her before I rush into the room.
