Can anything heal without kind words? 

Am I able to heal without love? 

Do you love? 

Can you words be kind?

I don't depend, 

But I count on you. 

Will you defend? 

Make sure you speak clearly. 

I like simple things;

Even when I'm so complicated. 

Isn't this what you like? 

That's what you said. 

Sometimes my words are jumbled, 

And I can't explain right, 

But must you always jump to conclusions? 

How many times have I said you need to listen? 

I'm not perfect, 

And I'm glad you're not either;

But understand this:

I like you.
